Makhana Kheer

Makhana Kheer

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Makhana or Fox Nuts
  • 10-12 Cashews
  • 10-12, Raisins
  • ½ tsp of Elaichi Powder
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 4-s tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Ghee

 

Steps to prepare Makhana Kheer:

  1. Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a pan and roast the makhanas and cashews. Take it out in the plate and keep it out.
  2. Pour 500ml milk into a deep thick bottom pan and bring it to boil.
  3. Now take only 1/3rd of makhanas and keep aside the rest of the makhanas and cashews. Grind these 1/3rd makhanas in the grinders and make a fine powder of it.
  4. Add this makhana powder to the milk and stir it on low-medium flame.
  5. Next, add the kept aside makhanas, cashews, and raisins. Also, add the elaichi powder.
  6. Stir it and let it cook for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Add 4-5 tsp of sugar or as per your taste. Mix it well and turn off the stove.
  8. Serve it hot or cold, as per your liking.
