Sabudana Tikki

Sabudana Tikki

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Sabudana, soaked overnight
  • 1 Potato (boiled, peeled, and mashed)
  • ½ tsp chopped Chillies
  • 10-12 Peanuts, chopped or crushed
  • ½ tsp Raisins, chopped
  • ½ tsp Cumin Powder
  • ¼ tsp Amchur or Dry Mango Powder
  • Sendha Namaka, as per your taste
  • 1tsp Singhade Ka Atta or Kuttu Ka Atta

Steps to prepare Sabudana Tikki:

  1. Drain the overnight soaked sabudana. Take a big bowl and mix sabudana and mashed potato in it.
  2. Now add ½ tsp chopped chilies, crushed peanuts, chopped raisins, ½ cumin powder, ¼ tsp amchur powder, 1 tsp sendha namak, and 1tsp singhade or kuttu ka atta to the mix. Blend it all with your hands.
  3. Next roll the sabudana mixture in the tikki or flat patties form. Don’t make it too thick or too thin.
  4. Hear 2tsp of oil in a frying pan or skillet. Place 4-5 tikkis at one time and fry them on medium heat.
  5. When the base turn lightly brown, flip them using a spatula and fry from another side too. If required, add 1-2 tsp oil more.
  6. Once they are fried from both sides, serve them with curd, mint, or coriander chutney.
